Check a Saguache County Inmate on VINELink

Use Colorado VINE to check a specific Saguache County inmate when a participating jail or state agency feeds the system. VINELink can show custody status and related details, and it lets users register for release or custody-change notifications. It is useful for current or recent status, but it is not a complete archive of old Saguache releases and it does not replace the sheriff, court, or CDOC record.

What VINELink Shows About a Release

A VINE result is a notification-system record. It can point to a custody status or status change, but the exact fields vary by agency feed.

Field What it shows
Custody status May show in custody, released, out of custody, transferred, or another agency-fed status.
Facility or location Identifies the reporting facility when available; confirm if the person moved to another agency.
Name or identifier Helps distinguish people with similar names; compare with date of birth or agency identifiers when available.
Photo or details Some Colorado VINE instruction pages note that a photo may be available, but it depends on the feed.
Release or change notice Alerts registered users to release, transfer, or other custody-status changes where supported.

How to Register for a Saguache County Release Notification

Colorado county VINE instruction pages describe a practical registration workflow that can be adapted for a Saguache search when the person is present in the VINE system.

  1. Open the Register or Details screen for the matching person.
  2. Select a notification method, such as phone, email, text, TTY, or app / in-app notice where available.
  3. Enter the contact information requested by VINELink.
  4. Provide a PIN where required for phone notification.
  5. Complete the registration and keep the PIN available for later confirmation or cancellation.

Colorado VINE is available by phone at 1-888-263-8463. Larimer County's VINE materials describe the service as free, 24-hour, and available in English and Spanish. The VINELink mobile app listing also describes custody-change notifications by app, phone, email, text where available, or TTY, with data availability determined by agencies.

VINELink Limits and How to Confirm a Release

VINELink does not replace the source agency. It can lag, it can depend on participating-agency feeds, and it is not the right tool for every custody lane. It is not a BOP federal release archive, a USMS release locator, an ICE historical release database, or a complete Saguache jail record system.

Confirm before relying on a status. For a local Saguache County Jail release, contact the sheriff / jail at 719-655-2544 and check Saguache Combined Court. For a state-prison release, use CDOC Offender Search. For a federal sentence, use the BOP Inmate Locator or the federal court record.

Ask the sheriff for the release date, release time, release type, release authority, and transfer destination if applicable. Ask the court for the case event that explains why custody changed, such as bond, sentence, dismissal, probation, warrant recall, or mittimus.

VINE, CDOC, and the Colorado Registry Are Different

Colorado VINE is a custody-status and alert system. CDOC Offender Search is the state-prison and parole lookup. The Colorado Sex Offender Registry is a separate CBI system for qualifying registrants and is not a general released-inmate database. If a released person has a public registration duty, the registry may be an additional source after release, but it does not prove the Saguache jail release date or release reason.

Saguache VINE Alert Timing

Colorado VINE is most useful before and around a release, when a custody-status change may trigger a phone, email, text, TTY, or app notification. It is less useful as a long-term archive after the event has passed. For Saguache County, that timing matters because no official county 24-hour or 72-hour release feed was found in the research. A VINE alert can tell a registered person that a status changed, but the sheriff release entry is still the source for the exact release date, release time, release type, and transfer note.

Use the alert as a prompt to confirm the record. If the person was released from Saguache County Jail, call or request records from the sheriff and check Saguache Combined Court for the related bond, sentence, dismissal, probation, or warrant event. If the person was transferred into CDOC, the state offender search may become useful after the state record updates. If the person was moved to federal or immigration custody, use BOP, ICE, USMS, or the federal docket only for that separate custody lane.
