Registry After Release

A registry entry may remain useful after a person has left custody because it is tied to a registration obligation, not to current jail status. That makes it different from Saguache County Jail records, CDOC release records, and VINE notifications. Many released people will not appear in the registry at all.

How to Use the Registry

Colorado registry sources include the CBI search agreement path, the Colorado public search path, and SOTAR public search. Search only for the registry question: whether a qualifying registrant is publicly listed. Do not use a registry result to infer the jail release time or final court disposition.

Registry Records and Contact

CBI's Sex Offender Registration Unit states that a complete list for Colorado or a specified local area may be requested by mailing the Adult Registered Sex Offender Request Form with the required fee. About Public Registry Limits

CBI search-result material states that the public registry does not post all sex-offender information. Certain misdemeanor-only convictions and juvenile records may not appear on the public site. Local law enforcement or CBI may be the proper route for complete local-list requests. A missing public result is not the same as a Saguache jail release finding.

Registry Photos and Mugshots

A released registrant may have a registry photo if the person falls within public-posting rules. That photo is not a general booking-photo feed.
