Saguache Released Mugshots as Records
A booking photo is tied to a jail booking. Release from custody does not erase the fact that a booking record may exist, but it also does not mean the photo is posted online. For Saguache County, the first channel is a sheriff records request because no public Saguache booking-photo roster or release-photo feed was found.

Request a Saguache Booking Photo
The sheriff records route is the main Saguache-specific path. The County Sheriffs of Colorado directory lists the Saguache County Sheriff's Office at 530 5th Street, P.O. Box 265, Saguache, CO 81149, phone 719-655-2544, with Sheriff Dan Warwick listed for the county. A request should identify the booking and ask whether the booking photograph is releasable under Colorado law.
- Gather the person's full legal name, date of birth if known, booking date, and booking number if known.
- Call the sheriff or jail at 719-655-2544 to ask which records request method is currently used for booking photos.
- Submit a written CCJRA request if the photo is not provided by phone inquiry.
- Ask for the booking photograph, booking number, booking date, release date, release type, and any releasable redaction basis if the photo is withheld.

Local fee schedules were not located in the research file, so do not assume a specific photo fee, copy fee, or response cost. Ask the custodian for current fees when making the request. Keep a copy of the request for follow-up.
No Saguache Sheriff Photo App
The research file did not locate a Saguache-specific sheriff mobile app with inmate lookup, jail information, recent releases, or mugshots. That finding matters because some counties show booking photos in an app even when the public website is thin. Saguache should not be described that way unless a later source confirms it.
Colorado VINE does have a mobile app and notification tools, but that is a VINE status app, not a Saguache sheriff app. A VINE image, if available, depends on the agency feed and should be treated as a custody-status image. CDOC is separate from the Saguache County Jail. That photo is useful only when the person entered CDOC custody or supervision.
The manifest includes a screenshot from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation Sex Offender Registry search agreement. The registry can include a photo for public registrants, but it is not a general Saguache mugshot database.
Colorado VINE may show a photo in a Register or Details result when the agency feed supports it. That photo is not guaranteed. If VINE shows no photo, use the sheriff records path for a county booking photo and CDOC only for state custody.
Photo Source vs Release Proof
A mugshot source and a release source are not the same thing. A county booking photo can prove that a booking image was created, but it does not by itself prove the release date, release type, current custody status, or final court result. The release record and court file answer those questions.
CDOC photos carry the same limit in a different custody lane. A CDOC mugshot belongs to a Colorado state-prison or supervision record. It should not be used to describe an ordinary Saguache County Jail bond release unless the person also entered CDOC custody. A CBI registry photo is narrower still because it applies only to people covered by public registry rules. When sources conflict, the sheriff booking record and court disposition should control the local Saguache release question.

Note: when the question is whether a person was released, the court record and jail release entry matter more than a copied image.
Colorado Mugshot Removal Context
Colorado has special context for commercial mugshot websites. The article explains that the law targeted commercial posting and removal practices under certain disposition conditions.
That law context should be read narrowly. It does not mean every sheriff photo must be online, and it does not mean every photo is released in the same way. If charges were not filed, charges were dropped, the person was acquitted, or a record was sealed or expunged, ask the official source and any third-party publisher what documentation they require to update or remove the image.
